Kim has been a style icon for years and there’s a good reason for it. From styling and working with celebrities like Brandy, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie in the early 2000s, Kim Kardashian has definitely made her mark in the fashion industry. Not to mention that she later went on to open the DASH clothing store with her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian. She’s done a plethora of photoshoots and has been on the covers of too many magazines to count. And fans loved that she wasn’t afraid to play with colors and patterns. But after dating Kanye, she quickly realized that she’d have to give up a lot of what she loved.

We all remember the scene from Keeping Up with the Kardashians where Kanye did a full closet clean-out of nearly everything Kim owned. And while a few things here and there would have been understandable, we couldn’t deny the look of visual disappointment when Kim was left with close to nothing. And that was just the first step. For years, Kim’s entire wardrobe was controlled by Kanye. And while it helped her image in some ways, it seemed to break her spirit in others.

But since filing for divorce, fans can’t help but notice that Kim’s been playing more with colors and patterns again. And not only that, her feed seems to be less curated and more carefree and we can’t wait to see what comes next with Kim.
